Your privacy

The Queensland Government is committed to protecting user privacy. We understand and appreciate that visitors to and users of this site are concerned about their privacy and the confidentiality and security of any information that may be provided to us.

The Queensland Government has established a privacy regime for the Queensland public sector based on 11 Information Privacy Principles. These are contained in an Information Standard [ Information Standard 42 (56KB)] that agencies are required to adhere to.

Protecting your information is important

The Queensland Government understands the importance you attach to the information that identifies you (your 'personal information') and wants to help you protect it.

Personal information includes your name, address, phone number, email address, your organisation and your position in the organisation.

We seek to ensure that you will be confident that your personal information will only be used by us in the ways described and that it will be held securely.

This Privacy Statement describes how we collect information when you interact with us online and what we do with that information.

Cookies

Cookies are used on this site for the sole purpose of allowing a user to carry information across different pages. Cookies are not used to track or identify users for any other purpose.

When you visit this website, our web server makes a record of your visit and logs the following information for statistical purposes only:

No attempt is or will be made to identify users or their browsing activities except in the unlikely event of an investigation, where a law enforcement Agency may exercise a warrant to inspect activity logs.

Access to Personal Information

The Queensland Government will not add your name, address or your email address to a mailing list, nor will we disclose these details to third parties (other than the Queensland Government Agency responsible for policy development in relation to the consultation) without your consent, unless required by law.

All responses, whether public or private will be given to the Queensland Government Agency responsible for policy development in relation to the consultation. The responsible Agency may also use your personal details to contact you if you have requested to be kept informed about the developments of the issue or have indicated a desire to participate in the evaluation of the trial.

Email messages may be monitored by authorised IT staff for purposes such as system troubleshooting and maintenance.

Email Correspondence

As this is a Queensland Government website, email correspondence sent to this site will be treated as a public record and will be retained as required by the Public Records Act 2002 and other relevant regulations.

Security

This site does not provide facilities for securely transmitting information across the Internet. We recognise that there can be risks with transmitting information across the Internet.

This site contains links to non-Queensland Government websites. The Queensland Government is not responsible for the privacy or security practices or the content of such websites.

Changes to our Privacy Statement

This information relates to our current privacy standards. We may vary our privacy standards from time to time. We will notify you of these changes by publishing them on this site - we will not separately notify you of these changes.
