Human Resource Business Solution
As part of the Shared Service Initiative, the Human Resource Business Solution project aims to implement a whole-of-Government human resource solution across the state government sector.
In 2003, a team of representatives from across Queensland Government undertook a detailed consultation and analysis of agencies' business processes and activities for core human resource (HR) services. This business process review covered services including:
- workforce management
- payroll
- recruitment
- performance planning and development
- workplace health and safety.
The review identified the high level requirements for a whole-of-Government HR and payroll solution and helped develop the new HR business processes. A framework was developed, describing the set of common HR processes, activities and technologies that impact on Government employees from the time they begin employment to the time they retire.
