Finance Business Solution
As part of the Shared Service Initiative, the Finance Business Solution will provide agencies with new business processes and software as part of a whole-of-Government finance solution.
In 2003, a team of representatives from across Queensland Government undertook a detailed consultation and analysis of agencies' business processes and activities for core financial corporate services. This business process review identified high level requirements for services including:
- assets
- expenses (including procurement)
- general ledger
- revenue
- statutory reporting
- taxation.
The new system is now being introduced across the sector. Once fully implemented it will result in faster and more efficient processing of finance transactions across the Queensland Government through the use of automated, interactive workflow solutions.
The generic whole-of-Government finance business processes and the finance technologies to support these processes means consolidating systems across government and optimising the way these systems are used.
